Every day Americans face legal issues like the examples below.  Many are confused and don’t know their options.  During this webquest, we will examine common legal situations and a variety of solutions.  You never know if you will be faced with one.

 

Once upon at time, Jane met Jack and fell in love.  Soon they became engaged and eventually had a huge wedding.  Before Jack and Jane could even think, they had two kids, a new car and a beautiful home.  All was well...until one day Jack no longer loved Jane and Jane no longer loved Jack.  What were they to do?  Who would get the car?  The house?  The kids?

 

 

 

 

Once upon a time three high school seniors decided to rent a home upon their graduation.  They began to search for a house to rent, and finally found the perfect spot between Qdoba and the mall, they signed the lease and put down half of the deposit, making an agreement with the landlord to pay the rest of the deposit at move-in. Graduation came and the three roommates were packed and ready to move in, but the landlord had already found other tenants and refused to return their deposit.  What were they to do?  How would they get the rest of their deposit?

 

 

 

You live alone in a decent neighborhood.  But one of your neighbors recently threatened to hurt you by hitting you with their mini-van.  Your are very afraid that something worse might happen.  What can you do?  Who can you call without making a scene?
