Introduction:

There is a significant rise of abuse in your community and not enough help provided for the victims. You and some your fellow employees decide to leave the clinic you are currently employed at and open one of your own to help with the demand.  You will need to create a brochure to get the word out about services you offer and what exactly constitutes abuse.

Process:

The first thing you will need to do is to pair up and come to me, to discover what your assigned topic will be. You may request a specific topic, but it will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Each group will research their topic.  Your group will need to decide what you will call your center for abuse. You must provide statistics on your type of abuse and be able to describe what factors are involved in your type of abuse.  You will need to come up with ways to help prevent your type of abuse, as well as provide information about the help victims and perpetrators can receive from your center.  You may include pictures, but if you are not sure about their appropriateness come to me first.  Your brochures should be neat, informative, creative and free of errors.  You will be presenting your brochures to the class.  It should be about a five to ten minute presentation.  You project will be broken up into pieces and certain pieces will be due on the following dates:

*      Topic and Name for Center due on day 1

*      First part of research due day 4

*      Completed research and pictures you plan to use due day 10

*      Rough draft of brochure due day 13

*      Final draft of brochure and presentation due day 23
